Lucy

I think the most intrigueing character is lucy. She is the type of girl the others probably looked up to and wanted to be like. In the eyes of most Lucy had it all, but really having it all depends on what you want. If you want the beauty quenn life and had it then you would have it all. In lucy's case, the beauty queen life wasnt for her. She wante to be in control of her own life and make her own decision which is why she went through desperate measures to feel that way. Cutting herself was a way of saying "you think you know me but you really don't." Although the things lucy did arent exactly the smartest or safest things but they are what made her feel how she needed to fell. Although she ultimately kills herself, it kind of shows just how much control lucy wanted and now had over her life. She wanted so much control that she took her own life. She wasnt going to wait around for her time to come or for some other person to come along and kill her, she took control of the situation and decided when it was her time. I also find lucy intriguiging because she is a free spirit. She doesnt seem to mind the things she's done and excepts them but she does it all with a certain grace.

My Work

1. I think I told my story pretty well. I made sure to use detail and tried to make everything flow together
2. I think my conclusion was what I did specially well because usually i have weak conclusions
3. I think i could improve some of the detail and maybe reword some things. I also forget to check the transitions at the beginning of my paragraphs .
4. I generated ideas for my writing by just naming things that had to do with reading and then picking the one that i could write with the most detail
5. I first wrote my narrative down on paper because my ideas and thoughts come out faster that way. After that i typed it and made some revisions.
6. I didnt use any photos or other graphics for details. I jsut used my memory
7. Others' responses didn't really influence my writing
8. Next time i thinkj i would use a thesaurus to come up with different words to describe detail.

My Dash

The most important people to me are my family. Especially my mom and my sister because we've been through a lot together and they are the two people that understand me the most and the people i know i can always talk to. I've moved around a lot and have gotten to know many people. I believe that there is a big difference between growing up in the city and growing up in a subburb. When i was young i used to go on adventures whenever my sister and i went to our friend adele's house and we had some of the best times. Hiding in cornfeilds, snowmobiling with our dads, swimming in her pool, racing our bikes, and staying up late at night watching movies. In the city i used to play games in the streets wit my friends or in the cemetery by our houses. In the summer when my step sister would visit from north carolina, we'd spend almost every moment enjoying our breif time we'd spend together. We'd ride our bikes or walk anywhere we possibly could and always made sure each other was safe. Every summer our family would go to Dorney Park where we always had a lot of fun. Riding roller coasters and splashing in the amusement park when it got to hot was what i looked most forward to in the summer. Then when she came in the winter we'd go sledding in the cemetery and laugh at eachother whenever we'd hit a tombstone and fly off the sled. After we'd drink hot chocolate and sit by the radiator to warm up. I think the best times of my life were when i was fourteen and under becuase i didnt have to work or be responsible. Everything was fun, innocent and exciting. My teenage years have been good but arent anything like when i was young because i see the whole world in a different perspective than i had when i was young.

Thoughts about the book

I think reading a book where the main character talks to dead people would be very interesting. It is something different and would therefor keep my interest. I like all types of books, but I don't like to read about the same type of thing over and over again. I also don't like to read books that take forever to get to the poin. As long as this book is interesting and gets to the point i think i'll really enjoy it.
